Alden F. Abbott is Rumpel Senior Legal Fellow and Deputy Director of the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation. He has served as a government executive at the Federal Trade Commission, the Justice Department, and the Commerce Department, and previously was a senior antitrust advisor at the BlackBerry Corporation. Alden is a long-time adjunct professor at George Mason Law School (teaching IP, antitrust, trade, and regulation); a frequently published author on law and economics topics; a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network; and a Member of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section’s International Task Force.
